The Unexpected

The Unexpected

On Christmas Eve I got a call and was told that my Aunt Ann has took a turn for the worse.  I hopped in my car to go see her and when I arrived at her room in the nursing home my Mom rushed out and told me that Aunt Ann had just passed away. I have mentioned this very same Aunt in a previous post with regards to weight issues and struggling to breath.  I am glad that she is no longer suffering and look upon her passing as a gift from God.  I will miss her.  She taught me a great lesson about life and why it is important to never give up on trying to improve my health.

Even with the loss of our Aunt and Sister my family still had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas.

I held true to my word and went to Weight Watchers first thing Friday morning.  After a few glitches I was able to finally get onto the website and start moving forward on with my journey.  I will have my first official weight on Friday and will let you all know how I make out.

My in laws are officially moved into the house for a few months and so far so good.

I am looking forward to the New Year things can only get better for me from here on out.

Til next time.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's the most wonderful time of the Year!

It's the most wonderful time of the year to be with family & friends.  This Christmas I will be spending it with my Husband, Mom & Dad remembering what the day really stands for.

Then at 8:30 Friday morning I will be at Weight Watchers signing up.  This is going to be a Christmas present to myself.  I am not waiting for the new year to get started with the changes I want to make for the better in my life.

I often say "Life is to Short to not be Happy."  Now, I am taking the steps to make sure that My Happy Life is not to Short.

I know I will have struggles in the future.  I can think of a food one right now that will start when my in laws move in for a few months.

For those of you who don't know I am an American girl who fell head over heels in love with an Indian boy from the other  side of the world many years ago.  Our love has stayed strong through the struggles of getting my husbands parents to accept us together along with other issues.  Don't get me wrong I love them its just there old school thinking makes life difficult at times.

So let the Holiday fun begin...

Change is Gonna Come!

Change is Gonna Come!

Well in the last week I have been gearing up for the Holiday Season and getting more organized for the new year.  I plan on making many changes in the new year for the better.

I have already created a daily cleaning schedule for myself.   When our house is clean and organized is  when I am most happy.  So I am starting here.

My husbands parents will be coming to stay with us for a few of months. Which will be a challenge for me as well.  Trust me I will have much to say on this in the future.

I also plan on returning to weight watchers in the new year. I find I really need support from people who share my problems in regards to weight and meetings let me realize I am not alone.

So a Change is Gonna Come...

Time

Time

Reflecting over the time since I have last posted.  Not much has changed with my struggle to lose weight.  However, I have been watching someone I love struggling to hold onto life and just breath due to weight issues.  If I never had an eye opener before this is it.

It's time to get serious, and get back on the path for my journey to a become the skinny woman that only I see in the mirror.  So starting from this day forward look for more activity from me.  It's not going to be easy at first with the Holiday Season upon us and it's not going to be easy for other upcoming reasons that I know of.  So sit back buckle up and enjoy the ride with me.

Til next time.
