The 3 B's

Baseball, Bridal Shower, & Birthday

Last week was a busy one, my boss was out of town and I was overcome by work at the office.  An unexpected appointment made me miss the Weight Watcher's meeting I attend.  The weekend was full of fun starting with a Spikes Baseball Game Friday evening, a Bridal Shower on Saturday, and my Birthday on Sunday.

Let's just say I enjoyed the food I ate and probably set myself up for failure on the scale for my weigh in on Friday.  Yes, I will be attending the meeting this week and nothing is going to stop me.  I now realize that I have to schedule this time for myself and not let other things prevent me from going.

I started my food journal today.  Look for the progress on my journal challenge and weight in on my next posting.

HELLO, MY FRIENDS IT'S BEEN AWHILE

IT'S BEEN AWHILE

When I started my journey to lose weight over a year ago I never imagined I would be right back at the start today. Realizing that this blog was helping me learn, stay on track, and be motivated to keep losing is why I'm back.   Who really wants to share their weight with anyone?  Certainly not I, but that is just what I am intending to do again.

Sunday was Father's Day, Mo & I got to spend the day with both of our Dads which made the day even more special because this doesn't happen very often.  We had a picnic and went fishing.  NO fish were caught but we still had a great time. 

Weight Watcher's is on Friday and I will be there.  I will have a weigh report for you on my next post. Until then, my first mini goal will be to keep a food journal and record everything I eat for 30 days straight.  If by chance I miss a day I'm going to add 10 days for each day missed.  Not only will this be a challenge it should really give me a perfect start on this journey.

yet again

Okay, I've been gone for awhile. It's time to get the scale going in the right direction yet again.

My personal 30 day challenge is in effect again. This time not only will it be exercise it will also take into account of every morsel of food that enters my mouth being tracked in a journal.

The HUBBY

The Hubby

Finally Mo & I are exercising together. I personally have waited for years for this to happen and now I'm very happy that I have some company with my exercising & pain. With our weight bench that looks like it comes from the dark ages, treadmill, medicine ball, step and weights we are off to a good start with our home gym.

Our first official workout was two days ago. Knowing my husband the way I do I looked at the weights that he wanted to start off with and just knew that his arms would be hurting so I told him to start off with lighter weights. Ignoring me he continued to lift and he HURTS. Me being the wimp that I am started out with lighter weights and guess what no pain just tiredness. Well it just goes to show that men don't want to listen to women and sometimes we do know best.

In my last post I mentioned my quest to find a new recipe that Mo would react to telling me that he really enjoyed it and that I would share it with you. Surprise, I'm still on this quest after trying many new recipes the only reaction that I got was it's okay. So maybe next week.

I don't have any weight results for you this week because we did get the bad weather that was in our forecast last Friday. However, I will have results for you on my next post. Hopefully there will be less of me to report to you.

Pound by Pound

Pound by Pound

One pound is all I lost last week. This is not the start I wanted for the New Year but it's what I got. On a good note it was one pound in the right direction.

Tomorrow is my weigh in day and it looks as if the weather is going to be bad here so I may not make it to a weight watchers this week. I have to come up with a plan for the next week so I continue to go in the right direction with this weight loss.

I'm going on try out some new recipes this upcoming week. Most of the time when I make something new and ask Mo what he thinks he says "It's okay." So my goal is to find something he really likes and share it with you on my next post along with his reaction.

Last weekend my cousins kids spent the night with Mo & I and, I have to say it was nice to have kids in the house. This makes me want to work even harder to get to my goal.

Believe

Believe

The slogan for Weight Watchers this year is Believe. I'm so not believing in myself at this point but I refuse to give up. I got the new year off to a bang then boom all I wanted to do is eat. I don't know why I go through these cycles but I must break them.

Exercise has been a big part of my week and I plan on sticking to it. Today I'm going grocery shopping and stocking up on fruit, vegetables and other good for you items. Also, I'm sick of feeling like a beached whale when I try to sit up from the lying position so I'm going to start using the Biggest Loser game on our XBox. I'll let you know how this works for me next week.

Well here are my results from my last weigh in. Like I said last week it's not pretty but this is just another bump in the road for me. The important thing is that I stay on my journey and become a BELIEVER.

Happy 2012

Happy New Year

Every year people make resolutions when the new year comes around myself included. . There are so many things I want to resolve in my life like eating healthier, exercise more, be a mom even if my husband and I have to adopt, and make my life count. I realize I have all these things within my grasp all I have to do is be dedicated to them.

So having said that my resolution for 2012 is to be dedicated to my journey. Which will lead into the a much happier and healthier me.

So stick with me we are in for a wild ride.

I will be weighing in for the first time this year on Friday and I am so not looking forward to it. What the scale will say is in the past and I'm ready for my future. I will tell you all the results of my weigh in on my following post.
